                          Primer-Level 2 Student Books


·        These three books are the curriculum’s beginning books.  They meet the needs of beginning students through early elementary levels. 
·        Scales include 1-octave white key major and parallel harmonic minor scales with cadences and arpeggios.
·        Theory covers basic concepts with ear training and analysis.
·        75 vocabulary words/25 words per book
·        Music Appreciation includes composers and their compositions including Mozart’s The Magic Flute and Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker; instruments including the harpsichord and the Orchestra families

                            

                          Level 3-Level 5 Student Books

·        Expanding on the basics, these books range from mid-elementary to early intermediate levels.   
·        Scales include all 2-octave major and harmonic minor scales with cadences and arpeggios.
·        Theory continues covering basic concepts including major scale patterns, key signatures, double sharps and flats with ear training and analysis.
·        75 vocabulary words/25 words per book
·        Music Appreciation includes composers and their compositions including Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel and Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons; instruments expanded to include the Brass Family and discussion of the 4 Basic periods of music.

                          Level 6-Level 8 Student Books

·        Once students have a firm grasp on all the basics, these books allow growth from early intermediate through late intermediate levels.
·        Scales include 2 & 3 octave major and all 3 forms of minor scales along with inverted cadences and arpeggios
·        Theory expands to include altered intervals, chord building, simple, compound and asymmetrical meters and much more
·        Vocabulary
·        Music Appreciation includes The Schumanns and Forms in Western Music.

                         Level 9-Level 12 Student Books

·        As students become more skilled, these books address the late intermediate and early advanced levels.
·        Scales include all majors and minors 4-octaves with inverted cadences and Plagal cadences, along with arpeggios of scales, dominant seventh-chords and diminished seventh chords.
·        Theory includes scale degrees, figured bass, Church modes, 4-Part harmony and resolving cadence points, modulation and chord progressions
·        Vocabulary

·         Music Appreciation includes Gregorian Chant, Impressionism and Scott Joplin
